School Partnership Programme

The School Partnership Programme aims to build up quality and sustainable partnership between schools and the Hong Kong Wetland Park (HKWP). The Programme offers opportunity for students to acquire in-depth experience in wetland conservation and to serve the community and convey conservation messages to others.

Students are required to receive a series of park management trainings, covering basic knowledge on wetlands, wildlife identification and interpretation skills.

Primary School
The total hours is 23, including training (9 hours) and services (14 hours)

Secondary School
The total hours is 36, including training (12 hours) and services (24 hours)

Programme Content

  1. Students are required to complete designated hours of voluntary service.
  2. Students will take part in various types of services, including interpretation services, thematic workshops and outdoor conservation works.
  3. Students should wear the school uniform, and volunteer badge during their service.
  4. Schools are responsible to ensure the students are physically fit for outdoor activities.
  5. School Partnership Programme is a voluntary programme and there will be no allowance for the service.

Recognition

  • Students completed the Programme will be awarded the School Partnership Programme Certificate.

Application

  • Students should be nominated by their school, and participating schools shall assign an advisory teacher to arrange students'TM activities.
