The Common Zeuxine is a terrestrial herb native to Hong Kong. Being a member of the family Orchidaceae, this fragile species is protected by law just like its family members. Common Zeuxine is a short-lived plant which only last for several weeks from sprouting to wilting. Most of the time the lower leaves are withering just when the upper part starts flowering!
