Indian Wikstroemia
Wikstroemia indica
Indian Wikstroemia is a native plant commonly found in hillside thickets. After its small, yellowish-green flowers bloom in spring, they develop into green fruits that gradually change to yellow-orange and subsequently red as they ripen. As a result, during the fruiting period, fruits of different colors can be seen hanging among the branches and leaves. Stems, leaves, fruits, and roots of Indian Wikstroemia can be used in traditional Chinese medicine. Additionally, its stem bark, which is rich in fiber, can be used for papermaking.
