傘序臭黃荊(美娘子)
Premna serratifolia

Premna serratifolia is a coastal plant found along mangrove edges and sandy shores, also occurring in forests and hillsides adjacent to the sea. This plant has a distinctive odour - simply rubbing its leaves releases a "fishy smell." Despite its peculiar scent, during its flowering period from May to September, it attracts various pollinating insects, including butterflies, moths, and scarab beetles, which come to feed on nectar.
