香港大沙葉
Hong Kong Pavetta

Pavetta hongkongensis

Hong Kong Pavetta was first discovered in Hong Kong, hence its name. It is a common native plant in Hong Kong, distinguished by the plentiful nitrogen-fixing bacterial leaf galls. These galls feel like sand grains when touched and their silhouettes look like stars under sunlight, giving rise to its Chinese nickname "Starry Sky" (滿天星).
