Crapnell's Camellia is a native evergreen small tree that was first discovered on Hong Kong's Mount Parker and named in 1903. It is characterized by its orange-red bark that leaves rust-like powder when touched, large white flowers, and fruits with rough skin. Listed as Vulnerable in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species, conservation efforts in Hong Kong include artificial propagation and ex-situ conservation.
