Notes to Visitors
- Before your trip, please check out the weather forecast and information on tidal level, prevention of mosquito/insect bite and protection of natural environment.
- Self-service lockers are provided in the Visitor Centre for use.
- Teachers and persons-in-charge can arrange students to have snacks in Atrium or Viewing Gallery in the Visitor Centre.
- Teachers and persons-in-charge should ensure the safety of their students. Please contact our staff and security guards, or the Information Counter at the Visitor Centre if any assistance is needed.
- Please stay indoors if there is a thunderstorm or inclement weather conditions. If Tropical Cyclone Warning Signals or Rainstorm Warning Signals are hoisted, the Park will have the following special arrangement:
Arrangements Under Inclement Weather Conditions
1. Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above:
Hong Kong Wetland Park will be temporarily closed until the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above is cancelled. The Park will reopen within 2 hours afterwards.
However, if the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above remains in effect at 2 pm, the Park will not open on that day.
2. Black Rainstorm Warning Signal:
If the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is in force before Hong Kong Wetland Park opens, the Park will remain closed. The Park will reopen within 2 hours after the
Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is cancelled. However, if the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is still in effect at 2 pm, the Park will not open on that day.
If the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal comes into effect after Hong Kong Wetland Park has opened, the Visitor Centre will remain in service until the normal closing
time or until visitors can safely leave. Outdoor areas will be temporarily closed, and all educational and guided programmes held outdoors will be cancelled. Once the
Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is lifted, the outdoor areas will reopen as soon as it is safe to do so.
