Black-winged stilt has black back and wings, with white under parts. They can be identified easily with their slender physiques and pairs of long pink legs. They are extraordinary in the group of small-size birds as their body shapes are tall with black and white.
They like to live in coastal and freshwater marshes. They always take small fish, insects, tadpoles and other small organisms from ponds, lakes and rivers as food. As they have a pair of long legs, so that they can search food at the place with deeper water. They love to build small mound and lay eggs on the ground close to water.
They are passage migrant in spring and autumn. Their trace can be seen in the wetland park from autumn to spring of next year. Now, when you visit the Wetland Park, please visit the mudflat bird hide and find their nests, you will see the baby birds finding food.
